Recent Obsession : Lean Green Smoothie

I've been digging into Sarah WIlson's book, I Quit Sugar, and love everything about it. Especially her alkalizing recipes that help alkalize the body and rid of sugar cravings.

This Lean and Green smoothie is great for those afternoon slumps. It's energizing, alkalizing and provides a nice kick of protein to hold you over for dinner. Just a warning, it might get a little chunky so be prepared for that. I love chunky healthy smoothies, but when I made this for my boyfriend he was not a fan of the texture :)

Lean and Green Protein Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup coconut water.
  • 1 handful baby spinach.
  • cucumber.
  • 1/2 small bulb fennel.
  • handful mint.
  • 1/4 avocado.
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds.
  • serve vanilla protein powder.
