Explosive Energy (Pre Workout Snack)
Before a high intensity session I like to avoid feeling full, but don’t want to bonk half-way through. Every minute counts and I want to feel fueled and nutritionally charged to make the most of my work out.
What you need:
+ 2 Dates
+ 1 Tbs of Brazil Nut Butter
Slice the dates in half and remove the pit. Add the nut butter to the date to create a mini date, nut butter sandwich! Just try to stop at two. This snack is dangerously delicious.
*Trainer Tip - Generally a high intensity session is about 45 – 60 minutes, so a quick serving of smart carbohydrates and protein for your body is perfect. For longer workouts you’ll want a better balance of carbs, protein and fat for your body to readily access during your session. *
