Staying Healthy in NYC
I just recently produced a job for R/GA New York and was in SoHo for 3 weeks staying at the James Hotel. It was HARD work, but it was a wonderful experience thanks to my awesome team. The hours were long and the demands ever changing, but I was able to keep my cool with some good workouts, coffee and healthy food.

Where to Sweat
Eddie Stern’s yoga shala. Come here for traditional yoga in a funky Brooklyn studio. Eddie’s wife Jocelyn also make fresh Chai tea in the café above the studio!
Yoga for those who want to sweat, and rock out to a bit of hip-hop. Book in advance!
Need to release a little steam? This all-in high intensity training is the best. Bring your water!
Good for beginners who want to learn the essentials of shadow boxing. Also great for friends or couples as you partner up to box and catch!
Surprisingly awesome workout. I went on a power day, so I can’t vouch for other classes, but I loved the technical attention and the humor of the teacher. Would recommend for solo or with friends.
Cute studio in the heart of union square. The teachers are smart and the classes are at convenient times. Great for the beginner-advanced Vinyasa yogi.
A NYC staple. This workout is tough stuff. I recommend taking the intro class if you’re new to reformer Pilates.

Beautiful breakfast and lunch spot, with an authentic aussie fare. Get yur’ flat white here.
Cute hole-the-wall shop is perfect for a shared pizza, with a salad and glass of wine. Great for lo-key dates and catch-ups with your bestie. Not great for large groups.
SoHo's Finest Market (Grand St + Thompson)
Not what you would expect for a super healthy green smoothie. But I stopped by here almost every day for a 3pm pick-me-up smoothie.
Food should be an experience. Stop in for the ultimate Italian experience. Just a warning, you don’t want to be in a rush here. Sit down, enjoy one thing, walk around and enjoy another.
Beautiful, modern indian food. Cocktails were on point and food was light and flavorful. Great for dates, and large groups. I recommend sharing a few things on the menu.
